Rob Pritchard reports

Disgruntled commuters are deluging c2c with e-mails, protesting over plans to scrap train services from Laindon.

At the moment, eight London bound trains start their journey at Laindon every morning.

Proposals being considered by c2c, would scrap the Laindon starters, with every train beginning its journey in Shoebury.

In an open letter to c2c, Laindon commuters claim the changes cut 3,000 seats from the service.

Commuter Kevin Brown, started the letter and claims the changes have health & safety implications.

Mr Brown said: "The starter trains are one of the only methods people travelling from here can get a seat.

"In no industry could a company get away with such a poor service for such an inflated price."

Disgruntled travellers have been encouraged to email copies of the letter to c2c's customer services department and hundreds of commuters have now done so.
